GM says sales drop 25 percent, sees slower recovery

BEIJING/PARIS (Reuters) – Asian auto sales soared in August, boosted by government incentives although U.S. economic uncertainty and slowing growth in China look set to curb demand, while in Europe car sales fell as scrapping bonuses ran out.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. retail sales rebounded in October as vehicle purchases rose even without support from government incentives, a Reuters survey predicted, which could allay some fears over the strength of the economy’s recovery.

Honda nearly triples outlook, more upside seen

TOKYO (Reuters) – Honda Motor Co nearly tripled its annual profit forecasts and more upside may be ahead, with the company taking a conservative view on the yen and with the effect of easing government incentives unknown.
